What the manufacturer says

Paraphrased from the manufacturer’s documents.

Intended use

  • Recommended uses include concrete, wood, metal, aggregates, pavement, countertops and table tops.TDS

Heat

  • Heat resistance is listed as 190ºF (88°C).TDS
  • Peak exotherm temperature is 150°F for a 100 g mass.TDS

Coverage

  • The TDS gives coverage of about 30 sq ft per 48 oz and 120 sq ft per 1.5 gal at 20 mils thickness, varying with surface porosity and texture.TDS

Other notes

  • The product page recommends stirring 4 minutes and pouring within 10 minutes of mixing, with an initial cure time of 24 hours.Page

UV and color

  • The product page describes the formula as UV-resistant to help keep long-term clarity.Page

Safety data sheet summary

Signal word: WARNINGSDS A

Part A hazard statements

  • H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction

Part B hazard statements

  • H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction

Protective equipment

  • Wear impervious gloves.
  • Wear splash-proof chemical goggles.
  • Use an organic-chemical cartridge respirator if needed in a non-vented area.
  • The hardener SDS gives the same glove, goggle and respirator recommendations.

Ventilation

  • Use good general mechanical ventilation plus local exhaust.
  • The hardener SDS lists the same engineering controls.

A summary, not the full SDS. Read the SDS for both parts before use and follow its first-aid section in case of exposure. This is not medical advice.

Where the manufacturer’s documents disagree

  • Coverage: 48 oz = 30 sq ft (approx.) @ 20 mils (TDS) vs. Covers up to 12 sq ft (48 oz kit product page) (TDS, Page).
  • Specific gravity compared with the weight ratio: SDS densities 1.12 (resin) / 1.03 (hardener) vs. TDS 2:1 by volume with 100:54 by weight (SDS A, SDS B, TDS).

The documents listed below give no value for: Maximum pour depth per layer; Minimum pour depth; Maximum mass or volume per pour; Pot life; Time between pours; Recoat window; Tack-free; Demold; Specific gravity, mixed. We leave these blank rather than estimate them.
